O say can you see

I missed most of the game last night as I was winning my very first official election.  I was elected to the Board of Directors at the condo association where I live.

Were the Yanks just tired last night or did Cabrera have really good stuff?

The O’s could be the Tigers of this year, next year.  Of course the O’s play in a much tougher division but the O’s could have a break through year next year.

Every team has a lot of ifs every year so I do not want to hear anything about all these ifs.

IF Bedard stays healthy and continues to develop, Cabrera can throw strikes, Loewen has a good sophomore year, they sign a guy like Schmidt, the O’s could have a decent starting rotation.  They will need to patch up the pen like every team in baseball has to do.

Hernandez at C, Gibbons at 1B, Roberts at 2B, Tejada at SS, Mora at 3B, Markakis in RF plus a few free agent signings (maybe Carlos Lee?) is a pretty good lineup.

Now I know the O’s are not going to win 100 games next year but they do have the pieces in place to make a good run at the wild card and win 90 games.

BTW, even if you are not an O’s fan, Camden Yards is a great place to see a ball game.
