After seeing the names on the list I can see why he was not on the list. He may have been a little better than Markakis or Kinsler but the other guys on the list definitely had better years. This was the first year in a while that I think both the NL and Al had numerous worthy candidates. When was the last time a Yankees player won a rookie of the year award? If you know the name and how the Yanks built around him you will be hoping the Yanks do more of it, especially with the growth of Cano and Wang. Will Hughes be in the hunt for AL rookie of the year next year?
I read that the Matz sweepstakes will be announced tonight. Are you scared the Sox may get the winning bid?
