Trade talks heating up
It has been widely reported that the Sawx are actively trading Manny these days. With the outrageous deals given to Lee, Soriano, Mathews, Pierre, etc., teams are looking at guys making 20 million a year as a bargain.
Does this mean the A-rod talks could be heating up? The Yankees are always very quiet before they make a big deal. Crede, Fields, Broadway and Garcia for A-rod? Would the White Sox make that deal? Crede is a decent 3rd baseman. Fields could move to 1B. Broadway is supposedly a blue chip prospect and Garcia is the established starter the Yanks are looking for. The Yanks get rid of a major distraction, clear payroll while the White Sox get the big bat they need and clear a rotation spot for McCarthy. Plus Ozzie would love to have A-rod. I think it would be a good deal for both.
