Game On

The first ST game for the Yanks is in a couple days.

Not a lot to talk about so far.  Jeter and A-Rod are not the best of friends.  Is that news????  Anyone that follows the Yankees in a die hard fashion knew that a loooong time ago.

Pavano is an injury magnet.  Hopefully the guy can win 15 games or be some nice trade bait.  I am rooting for him.

Abreu will be out for a couple weeks. Please No Bernie.  I rather give Thompson, Reese, and others a chance.  Bernie had his shot but blew off the Yankees so it is time for him to retire.

I really want to see Igawa pitch.  I saw Hughes last year when YES had a Trenton game on and he looked real good.  Of course AA and major league hitters are 2 totally different monsters.  How will he react this first time he gets rocked?  Will he start nibbling and falling behind hitters.  Pitching is such an art and extremely hard to be very good at.

Yankees rule in 2007.

It is warm in Miami

6 days until pitchers and catchers.  There are already a lot of players down there training.  Guys like Jeter, Posada, Sanchez, Igawa…..  Word is that there is definitely an excitement about this upcoming year.  That is until anti-social snob A-rod shows up.  Can’t he just way 25 million is enough, I am not going to opt out of my contract next year.  He keeps saying how happy is in NY and how he wants to win, etc.  Why is the opt out a possibility????

Desalvo cleared waivers and was outrighted to AAA.  I am surprised another team did not claim him. Maybe I with his year last year and his age, no one wanted him?  I have heard some say he could be trade bait.  Why would a team trade for him when they could of claimed him?

The Bernie saga will be interesting.  I think if the Yanks carry 11 pitchers he has a spot.  I am wondering why the Yankees want to carry 12 pitchers?
